Plibrico Refractories

This is the original plastic refractory – a moist, putty-like material that can be molded into shape to form the desired lining configuration. Available in air- and chemical-setting formulations for lining surface temperatures up to 3,400 degrees F.

The HyRate® process combines the speed and ease of installation allowed by gunning, with the technology of plastic refractories. The uniquely developed HyRate® plastics are a restructured plastic refractory, designed for pneumatic placement, while retaining all the beneficial properties of the grades from which they were derived.

HyRate® Gunning Plastics require specialized pneumatic gunning equipment.

The HyRezist® family has a low-moisture design for applications that demand abrasion-resistant qualities and the strength to stand up to abusive operating conditions. The HyRezist® products also offer inherent flow properties that make placement simple.  They’re an excellent performer at low-to-intermediate temperature ranges.

HyRezist products are also available in gunning grades formulated for application placement via pneumatic gunning.

The Exo-Set™ UNO castable refractories and gun mixes are a two-component quick-setting refractory, making them excellent materials for repairs.

INSULATING

Plistix® servicing and patching mixes are designed to increase the life expectancy of working linings in severe applications. This material can be directly applied to existing linings, regardless of makeup, without any special preparation, and are capable of withstanding slag attack and many different atmospheric conditions.

SERVICING MIXES

This is a pumpable refractory process for general boiler and furnace repair applications. The ceramic-fiber-based injection mix is designed to restore worn insulation and fill voids between a refractory lining and shell. Material is applied through the furnace exterior via pneumatic pump, while the unit is either on-line or down.
